And what do we do while we're there?

Jungfraujoch

Quite simply, the highlight of any holiday, there is nowhere else like it. Wrap up warm (even in the summer) and prepare for your breath to be taken away.

Shilthorn, Piz Gloria

Eat lunch in the revolving restaurant, enjoy the views and then watch the DVD when you get back to the apartment.

Wengan

This most wonderful traffic free village can be reached by the cog railway which departs from Lauterbrunnen station. Situated on a mountain ledge, you can see the Lauterbrunnen valley below. Stunning, peaceful, beautiful. We can highly recommend the bakery in the main street, not that we're greedy or anything!

Mannlichen

From Wengen, take the impressive cable car to Mannlichen where you will find yourself walking amongst the cows as you look at the mountains around you. The longest gondola ride in the world down to Grund/Grindlewald is spectacular and great fun.

Grindlewald

Another pretty little village with lots to do nearby. We love to take the cable car up to Bort and then come down the mountain on Trotti bikes. The Rodelbahn at Pfingstegg is the summer toboggan run, great fun and it even takes you back up to the top of the run so there's no pulling sledges back!

Stechelberg

We love to walk along the river which runs next to our chalet to Stechelberg, at the end of the valley. There's a lovely restaurant where you can recharge your batteries with hot chocolate and apfelstrudel. You can always take the bus if you don't fancy the walk back.

Aare Gorge

Open in the summer, this place is one of our most recent discoveries. At 1400 meters long, it takes about an hour to walk through while the water rushes past you. Truly spectacular.

Lake Thun + Brienz

From Interlaken, hop onto a boat for a relaxing trip on one of the lakes. Both are spectacular and there are many pretty villages along the way to stop at and explore.
